In 2008, Ari H. Gourvitz formed Gourvitz & Gourvitz, LLC, and is the managing member of the firm. Mr. Gourvitz has concentrated his entire legal career on divorce and other family law-related matters, but handles other legal matters for existing clients.
Mr. Gourvitz graduated Seton Hall Law School and then served as law clerk to Supreme Court of New Jersey Justice Virginia A. Long. After joining Elliot H. Gourvitz, Esq., as an associate, he assumed leadership of the firm and formed Gourvitz & Gourvitz, LLC. He has concentrated his entire legal career on Divorce and International Family Law matters, particularly, the abduction of children under the Hague Convention and high asset divorce matters. Mr. Gourvitz has been admitted to the New Jersey State Bar, the New York State Bar, the United States District Court of New Jersey, United States District Court of Vermont, United States District Court for the Southern District of New York, and Third Circuit Court of Appeals. Mr. Gourvitz is a member of the American Bar Association, a member of the Union County Bar Association and a former Barrister in the Justice Virginia A. Long Inns of Court.
Mr. Gourvitz zealously represents his clients while paying close attention to each client’s individual needs.
He has co-authored the second and third editions of the firm’s Domestic Violence Source Book and has been responsible for handling most of the firm’s Federal and State practice helping to establish precedent which is not only shaped but changed and defined existing law.
Because of his various successes in litigation in both Federal and State Courts, he has been recognized by his peers as “Rising Star” as published by “Super Lawyers” in 2013, 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017, and 2018.
