Bulgaria-Ari H Gourvitz, Esq was retained by the Petitioner who sought return of his daughter from New Jersey to Bulgaria pursuant to the Hague Convention. The Mother had wrongfully removed the child from Bulgaria as a result of an employment opportunity. The Mother retained counsel and it was demonstrated that she had no basis to wrongfully remove the child from Bulgaria without the Petitioner’s permission and/or consent. The matter ultimately settled after extensive settlement discussions with a Voluntary Return Order. After entry of the Order, the Father immediately flew to the United States to retrieve his daughter who is now re-enrolled in school and thriving.
